I wanted this piece to feel feel soft and human, while the vine adds more tension and makes the piece feel a little more painful and symbolic. The hand is shaded more realistically, while the green vine and yellow thorns are kept bolder and more graphic. I like the contrast because it keeps the design clean, but still gives it a heavier feeling. This would be a good piece for someone who likes tattoos that feel simple at first, but have a little more meaning behind them. It would work best on an arm or leg where the vine can wrap with the shape of the body.
